Welcome Home Labs~  Reviews and Testimonials

Here are a few of the responses that we receive from our “extended family”.  We enjoy staying in touch with all of you.  We are continually getting updates from families-  we LOVE that- thank you!  I am REALLY HOPING to add testimonials regularly.  I am just trying to find a way that would work easily.  We get several everyday and it certainly makes our days even brighter.  Let me know if you have an idea for me to post these easily.  My focus is dogs and people so the website is not my expertise.

We welcome you to continue to send in photos and an update of your Lab or share about your experience with us then I will do my best to post it right away.    If you want to be sure that it is posted then just say in your email…please, post this in testimonials.  That will motivate me to get it up because I don’t want to disappoint you and I am so happy to share these Labs with others.

Families also leave testimonies and updates on Facebook where they can post directly to Welcome Home Labs Facebook.  Be sure to look under ‘comments’ of the FB posts.  Enjoy!

Thank you, thank you for allowing us to be a part of you welcoming home your new family member.
We truly consider it a privilege!

Hello, hello!
I’ve been meaning to send an update on our girl! I’m sure you can tell from social media, but we absolutely adore her. Brie has been the best addition to our little family.

Couple of things we wanted to share:

– Easiest puppy to house train I’ve ever had. She had hardly any accidents, and learned so quickly. Within a week of bringing her home it just clicked.

– She loves to train and learn new commands. Michael is always teaching her new tricks. She knows sit, down, crate, stay, come, shake, roll, recalls to her name, walks next to us without pulling on or off leash (without distractions 😉 ), waits for the “okay” to eat food or her treats when right in front of her, etc etc etc. Such a smart girl!

– LOVES water. The first time we took her to a lake – she raced in and started galloping through the water and swimming before either of us had  time to wade in.

– LOVES people so much. Her biggest hurdle is staying calm when greeting/excited peeing, but she’s the happiest lab puppy so most people we meet/greet don’t mind 🙂

– We get compliments on her look/color and her happy/excited demeanor all the time!!! So many people recognize her in our apartment complex. It’s so sweet.

I just wanted to take a minute to share and thank you again! She was the cutest puppy in the world, but this stage she’s in now is our favorite yet. No more puppy biting (haha) and just very loyal and excited to hang out with us all the time.

Some recent photos attached. Thank you again!!

Been awhile since we sent pictures or a message, Here are some over the past month or so. He now has all his shots and is enrolled in puppy school, which he loves. But most of the time he just wants to play with other puppies. Bringing him around to our families over thanksgiving and meet all of our friends everyone has told us how cute calm and intelligent he is. Still he has yet to go to the bathroom in the house and aside from finding any little thing on the floor he seems to understand he can’t eat them and will just bring what he finds to us, maybe he knows he’s cleaning or maybe he just wants to play with it lol. We go on long walks and runs everyday and he never shows a sign of fatigue till we get back to the house. There is a nice open path where we walk and we let him run free off a leash as we walk and he never gets too far from us. Eventually as he gets older and more aware we will get a longer lead lead so he can still run but not take off after a rabbit or pheasant ( Has tried until he realized how they fast they  were ) We shot a gun around him for the first time and didn’t really know what to think at first he was kind of scared and wouldn’t move but when he saw we were fine he started to get excited. Hope you guys a good thanksgiving and have a good christmas.

Hi Bryce and Gina. Here is a picture of Leo resting in our kitchen. We thought you might like an update on him. He is such a great puppy, almost through the teething stage and he has beautiful teeth!! He is very excited to see people and other dogs. He has been to the Bloomington dog park 4 times and runs and plays non stop. He has some friends there as well as 2 dogs on our block.
He goes for a walk every day and has gone 2 miles with Adrian.
He has a routine and is very easy going. He loves his crate and has slept in it at night for a long time. He practically trained himself! We had a positive reinforcement trainer come to our house and work with him. She also watches him when we are away.
We can’t say enough about how pleased we are with him, it was a good match!
Hope you are having a good winter and would love to hear from you. Sally and Adrian

Hi Bryce and Gina, thank you so much for your lovely card! Ama has settled in quite nicely and just had a vet appointment on Tuesday – all is good and she hit the #20 mark… she is growing so fast – every time she steps out of her kennel it looks like she is a bit bigger… she is such a joy and we’ll be forever thankful that you let her move in with us. She bonded with Loona and Icy beyond our expectations and it is such a joy to see them play and snuggle together. Icy is her favorite running and wrestling mate. Loona likes to offer her big fluff ball for some „tug and war“ fun.
Here are some of Ama’s milestones so far:
She sits reliably (knowing the word and the hand sign), is pretty good with „come“/„here“ inside and also outdoors, „down“ is still a bit of a hit and miss but she pretty much stopped biting us for good. AND we are totally proud to tell you that Ama is pretty much house trained: she just passed her 10 day anniversary of no accidents… she picked up on how to use the door bells just within a day and lets us know if she needs to go outside.

Hi guys giving you a update of Mollie.  She continues to be a angel and continues to give . 8 months old now and does everything we ask of her and gives nothing but love back .  We are so ready for open water for boating and water retrieving with her. She still follows Maggie all the time as she loves her “ sister “ and all the activities. She’s is keeping her yellow character color which we were hoping for and less ivory . We (Lara, Chad, Blake and Max Petersen) just had to write to update you on our precious Lucy. We are so in love with her. She has a wonderful, fun loving and patient personality. She loves stuffed animals and especially playing with Max’s unattended toys. We have received numerous compliments on her and always provided your business as a recommendation.

Thanks again! Here are a few pictures, I swear she looks just like her mama Oona!

Dear Bryce and Gina,

Thank you so much for our new little pup – he got a great start with the care from you and your wonderful children and we’re so excited to have him as part of our family. We’re so glad we found Welcome Home Labs – for the responsible breeding program that you have, the good temperaments of your pups, and your genuine concern for the pups and their new owners.

MUCH thanks and blessings!!!
